We seek a Legal Learning and Development Specialist to work with our Learning and Development Department in our Washington, DC office. The position will work with the Director of Learning and Development – U.S. and New York Learning and Development team to understand developmental needs of associates and tailor and coordinate training programs to address those needs. Liaising with teams and contacts, screening and retaining outside consultants, and driving aspects of CLE programs are integral aspects of the position. Successful candidates will have experience in a law firm or other professional services environment, excellent interpersonal, client service, and written verbal and communication skills, strong presentation skills, and an ability to be proactive and drive projects forward.
Reports to: Director of Learning and Development – U.S.
Partner with the Global Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to provide professional and managerial support for Firm diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, including but not limited to offering mentorship, support and expertise to women, historically racially/ethnically underrepresented and LGBTQ+ employees; review DE&I programming and determine industry best practices for diversity and gender parity; data management and analysis; client and community interface, programming; and administrative support. This role will support both the legal and professional staff populations in the Washington office with a focus on advancing the Washington office DE&I strategy while also supporting the firm’s overall DE&I goals.
The Business Development Specialist will leverage their research, writing and analytical skills to support the firm in executing business development and marketing initiatives for the financial institutions group (FIG), including bank regulatory, financial technology (FinTech), broker-dealer, securities regulation, derivatives, and other FIG-related practices. These areas are multi-disciplinary and this position involves working closely with attorneys in DC and NY and other members of the Global Business Development team. This position can sit in the Washington or New York office.
