Cleary Gottlieb is a pioneer in globalizing the legal profession. Since 1946, we have operated as a single integrated global partnership across major financial centres worldwide, rather than as a firm with a network of separate overseas offices. Our founders believed that excellence is best achieved when people cooperate rather than compete, and that belief still shapes how lawyers and professional staff work together across practices, functions and geographies today. We are guided by a shared purpose, communicate with transparency and integrity, and strive for excellence in everything we do. Every member of our professional staff brings intellectual agility, sound judgment, and a human touch to their work, whether supporting a client matter directly or supporting the colleagues who do, and we take pride in doing our best work as one team.
The Attorney Development Manager oversees a broad range of talent initiatives for the firm’s U.S. litigation practice. Responsibilities include working with practice group leaders and staffing and talent partners to help attorneys reach their full potential; partnering with the Inclusion & Culture team to promote senior leadership accountability for a diverse talent pipeline; overseeing a robust performance review process; participating in strategic workforce planning; and collaborating with other Talent teams on key initiatives.
