As a member of the Senior Legal Development team, the Senior Legal Talent Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Senior Talent team, assisting with all aspects of senior lawyer onboarding, integration, professional development, performance management and other talent-related initiatives. The Senior Legal Talent Assistant must be able to demonstrate sound judgment, ensure confidentiality, and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions with internal and external contacts on all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Partner, Counsel, and Senior Attorney Onboarding Support: Take full ownership of the onboarding process for lateral partner and counsel hires. This includes preparing onboarding materials, managing the orientation schedule, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience. Collect, verify, and organize HR documentation (when applicable), ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Senior Lawyer Orientation Programming: Coordinate scheduling New Partner and Counsel Orientation preparation sessions with presenters and members of the Senior Lawyer Development Team. Organize logistics for the zoom and in person sessions and track attendance during the sessions. Collect presenter materials and organize into a meeting book for distribution.
  • Senior Lawyer Performance Management: Assist with the administration of the firm’s performance evaluation process for senior attorneys. Related tasks include running collaboration reporting, loading the system with evaluators, sending reminders, downloading reports and tracking completion rates and individual progress on a regular basis.
  • HRIS Transaction Oversight: Manage data entry and reporting in HRIS (Workday) system for processes such as new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions and leaves ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Contribution Committee Support: Providing administrative support and coordination to the firm’s Contribution Committee in close coordination with the Chief of Staff.
  • Other projects/tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • One to three years of administrative experience required, preferably in a law firm or professional services setting. Demonstrates a strong interest in human resources/talent.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel required.
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and efficient at multi-tasking and prioritizing projects.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to handle time sensitive projects.
  • Must have flexibility in work hours to meet operating needs.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well with internal and external clients.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000 at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, and performance. This role is non-exempt meaning it is overtime pay eligible.
