The position reports to the E-Billing Manager and assists in all phases of client billing, including submission, follow-up and communication with clients, specialists and managers related to electronically billed invoices. This is a detail-oriented position with an emphasis on technical tasks, strategic thinking, strong excel and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for submission and coordination of client invoice/e-bills to client and third party eBilling vendor websites utilizing eBilling templates and other software tools.
  • Detailed review and submission of timekeepers and hourly billing rates in client’s eBilling vendor systems and maintain internal timekeeper listing for relevant finance teams reference.
  • Regularly monitor and track e-bills status and follow up with appropriate teams to ensure successful processing and timely payment to the firm.
  • Accurately summarize and communicate clients eBilling requirements to relevant parties, including client accounting teams, pricing ops, etc.
  • Review e-bills for compliance with client/vendor terms, including the processing of corrections as needed to minimize delays in uploading or rejection of the client invoices/e-bills.
  • In coordination with the Global Pricing Operations team, analyze and submit timekeepers and rates for client approval, e.g. rate increases and matriculation.
  • Responsible for the configuration mappings within BillBlast.
  • Assist with the validation of reports and the testing of upgraded software as needed.
  • Prepare analysis and reporting of various data points for manager and other finance teams, including cost analysis, etc.
  • Ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum GPA of 3.0 in major and overall.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant eBilling experience and client relationship experience at a professional service firm or law firm is required.
  • Proficiency in eBilling platforms, e.g. Legal Tracker, CounselLink, Tymetrix360, CounselGo, Collaborati, BillingPoint, Brightflag and Collaboration Portal is required.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, If function, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized individual with excellent writing and communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal guidance.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet deadlines and deliverables.
  • Flexibility to monitor emails and prioritize responses after office hours.
  • Experience with Aderant is a plus.

The estimated base salary for this position ranges from $105,000 to $115,000 to at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will be determined based on various job-related factors, including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, the scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, and performance. This is a non-exempt role, meaning it is eligible for overtime pay.
