The Business Analyst will provide strategic business analysis services to legal/admin departments at Cleary. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of their needs, business strategy and processes.

 

Responsibilities will include a full range of activities from leading analysis on mid-large size projects to mentoring other team members, suggesting areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions and scoping several inter-related initiatives and helping senior-level business stakeholders make informed decisions about which initiatives to tackle as projects.

Responsibilities

  • Be the liaison between the business, technology, vendors and support teams.
  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key business stakeholders and identifying their business needs.
  • Lead analysis on complex projects and continuously evaluate Cleary systems and processes to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to stream-line existing processes.
  • Partner with internal and external parties to ensure solution provided meet the long-term business strategies.
  • Produce required project analysis documentation - Business requirements, functional requirements, use cases, process diagram, future state proposals.
  • Collaborate in Jira and Confluence on the tasks as they pertain to business analysis.
  • Prepare test scripts and assist with UAT process
  • Provide mentoring to team members and create opportunities for other Analysts to shadow and learn core skills.
  • Articulate ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers and help identify new project initiatives.
  • Work closely with manager to foster development within the Business Analyst team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree and minimum 7-10 years experience in a software development, business analysis, project management, preferably in a professional services environment, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Law firm experience is a plus
  • CBAP Certification a plus
  • Good documentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in various settings (g., video conference; audio)
  • Excellent presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment with diverse personalities at all levels of the Firm.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment, and to work under pressure- manage multiple responsibilities amid competing priorities, tight deadlines, and changing business demands and opportunities
  • Professional ethic and manner – must demonstrate the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of the Firm’s internal and personnel affairs
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Pro-active work attitude, results oriented, reliable, and flexible
  • Ability to take a structured approach to problem solving and decision making by analyzing, thinking ahead and planning
  • Ability to work on own initiative and in team based environment
  • Ability to find creative solutions and to think out of the box

  • Flexibility regarding working hours and willingness to work some overtime (will be working with global offices)
  • Willingness to occasionally travel if needed

The estimated base salary for this position is $130,000 to $140,000 at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, and performance. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
