  • Overview

    We seek a Legal Recruiting & Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator to provide efficient administrative and clerical support to our Legal Personnel and Recruiting department. Working in a fast paced environment, the Coordinator will field requests from department staff members and must be able to prioritize requests as appropriate. Duties will include calendar management, expense reporting, meeting and event planning support, and file maintenance. Successful candidates will be self-motivated, adept at balancing competing demands, professional, proactive, and detail-oriented.


    Position: Nonexempt


    Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm


    Reports to: Legal Recruiting Manager & Manager of Diversity and Inclusion


    • Provides broad administrative assistance to the Legal Recruiting Manager, the Manager of Diversity and Inclusion, and the Legal Recruiting and Diversity and Inclusion departments at-large
    • Provides general support for in-house programming such as recruiting events, Diversity Committee events, and partner meetings
    • Prepares materials for on-campus recruiting and in-house events
    • Arranges conference room reservations and catering services for in-house meetings and conferences
    • Assists with preparing folders and distributing materials for Continuing Legal Education programming and new associate on-boarding
    • Creates and modifies documents such as charts, memos, and letters using Microsoft Excel and Word or other programs
    • Monitors department email inbox
    • Assist with tracking mentor meetings for mentoring program
    • Performs other administrative duties as assigned


    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
    • Minimum of one year of experience providing administrative support in a professional services environment required
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
    • Experience with Chrome River a plus
    • Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy
    • Pleasant demeanor and customer service orientation
    • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of Firm personnel, vendors, applicants, and visitors
    • Superior organization skills and detail orientation
    • Ability to handle confidential information with utmost care and discretion
    • Ability to prioritize among competing deadlines and tasks
    • Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods and be a team player, especially during the busy seasons of August and September when it's all hands on deck
