  • Overview

    To assist the managing partner of a leading global law firm with a range of communications.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as the communication point person for the managing partner with firm personnel and selected external audiences
    • Draft and collaborate with various stakeholders on speeches, presentations, talking points and other global communications for the managing partner
    • Maintain an editorial calendar for managing partner communications
    • Build and develop relationships for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness
    • Keep up-to-date with on firm activities and issues to suggest (or act as a sounding board on) how to best communicate new ideas and initiatives to maximize managing partner engagement and impact
    • Attend meetings and calls on the behalf of the managing partner
    • Contribute subject-matter expertise in communications to the Executive Support team in relation to managing partner projects and strategic priorities

    Qualifications

    Candidates for this position should possess the following skills:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Five years of post-undergraduate work experience in a fast-paced environment; legal or professional services experience desired
    • Excellent professional presence, handling confidential/sensitive materials with discretion
    • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
    • Strong project management skills related to written and verbal communications deliverables
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills while interacting with various personalities and temperaments
    • Resourcefulness in problem solving, collaborating and leveraging tools to accomplish objectives
    • Ability to think ahead and catch problems before they arise
    • Skilled at multitasking and able to coordinate multiple tasks with varying degrees of complexity
    • Detail-oriented, efficient and highly organized
