This individual will assist the Professional Development (PD) team with all administrative tasks relating to associate professional development
Maintain internal records pertaining to associate arrivals and departures, leaves and transfers. Ensure all relevant departments (i.e. human resources, payroll, accounting, finance and marketing) are notified of any practice area changes.
Assist PD team with preparation and distribution of monthly hours reports.
Organize and help PD team prepare for quarterly PD meetings and staffer meetings.
Provide general administrative assistance in connection with mentoring programs, including by sending out monthly emails, tracking participation and organizing quarterly mentor meetings.
Assist PD team with administrative projects related to the annual lawyer review processes, including updating charts and lawyer profiles, proofreading, sending reminder emails and tracking review delivery.
Handle scheduling of monthly PD team meetings, including conference room set up, invites and materials.
Track lawyer diary compliance and update relevant charts.
Ad hoc administrative projects as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience in a law firm or other professional services environment preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
Must be comfortable interfacing with lawyers of all levels of seniority.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal, client service, and written and verbal communicational skills.
Exercises good judgment, has excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to multi-task among competing demands.
