Lead in reviewing conflict check reports prepared by the conflicts team, escalate possible business conflicts and identify and advise on ethical conflicts under the New York Rules of Professional Conduct, which the firm applies globally to all sixteen offices across the firm. Work directly with partners to clear conflicts, draft conflict waivers and prepare client engagement documentation as needed. Oversee small group of conflicts attorneys and develop know how and precedents for conflicts advice work. Work closely with other members of the Professional Responsibility/Conflicts team on further development of the conflicts search and review process and improvement of systems for tracking conflict clearance and waivers. Report to Professional Responsibility Attorney in Washington and Professional Responsibility Senior Attorney in New York.
