    Cleary Gottlieb’s Knowledge Solutions function is responsible for the design, creation and management of a suite of knowledge solutions which enable Partners and lawyers to find, access, and utilize knowledge and IP in the course of business development and client delivery.  The Knowledge Solutions Project Specialist will work closely with the Knowledge Solutions Project Manager and a team of knowledge experts, engineers and designers to deliver timely projects used to positively impact the firm’s global practice. 

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in tracking all practice development projects, running daily stand up meetings, and creating weekly portfolio/program/project reports for executives. 
    • Work with managers and team members to determine critical path milestones, identify risks, and schedule out projects according to sponsor-driven priority.
    • Assist in managing global projects that take into account local requirements and preferences whilst retaining a common and global approach; set and maintain quality standards of project management.
    • Design and produce weekly executive reports that report on the status of projects including risks, dependencies, critical path.
    • Work with Knowledge Solutions product teams to track their progress and report back to the executive team.
    • Report progress on a regular basis to relevant stakeholders through accurate, and actionable, management information. 
    • Continuously improve, enrich and extend project management practices over time to continue to adapt and evolve. 
    • Responsibilities - General
    • Assist with regular meetings of the Practice Development programs and relevant project meetings.
    • Liaise with other business support functions as necessary in course of duties.

    Qualifications

    • Experience in a commercial or professional services organization. Legal background preferred but not essential.
    • Educated to graduate level. Post graduate qualification in an information or research-related discipline preferred (but not essential).
    • Ability to work globally to get projects successfully delivered on time and on budget.
    • Ability to maintain best practices in project management, including appropriate artifact and report creation.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience of communicating with non-technical audiences on complex projects.
    • Customer focused approach to service delivery.
    • A strong understanding of agile project management methodologies. Experience with JIRA and Confluence preferred but not essential.
